Stainless steel

Stainless steel – also called Inox or RVS – is an alloy consisting mainly of iron, chromium, nickel and carbon. In order to speak of stainless steel at least 10,5% chromium and maximum 1,2% carbon has to be used. In popular language one uses sometimes the (incorrect) term corrosion free metal. Applications: tubes, piping, frame work, kitchens and non-food sector.
